Today, April 9, 2020, as part of a pilot project, the Court of Appeal is launching the first phase of its digital Court office. For now, the electronic platform is available only for appeals as of right in civil matters. Given the exceptional circumstances we are currently experiencing, the Court sought to implement this pilot project right away in order to facilitate access to justice. Use of the new digital Court office is optional and complements the usual way of appealing a matter, by filing paper documents.
