The safety and well-being of the public and all judicial system participants are a priority for the Court of Appeal of Quebec. We are working closely with the Ministère de la Justice to ensure that the public and members of the Bar will continue to have safe access to the Court of Appeal. The Court of Appeal of Quebec is open and its activities will continue as usual, with the exception of settlement conferences, which have been postponed. Lawyers or parties who are scheduled to participate in a hearing at the Court and will be under voluntary quarantine on the hearing date or unable to travel for physical reasons or due to parental duties are asked to contact the Court office to discuss the possibility of participating in the hearing by technological means. All requests for a postponement of a hearing must be sent to the chair of the panel or the judge sitting alone, as the case may be, via the Court office.
