Lifting of the suspension of time limits in civil matters

In accordance with art. 27 C.C.P., on August 31, 2020, the Chief Justice of Quebec and the Minister of Justice signed Order No. 2020-4303 providing for the lifting of the suspension of time limits in civil matters as of September 1, 2020, as well as an extension (45 days) of certain deadlines relating to case protocols.

On August 28, 2020, the Minister of Health and Social Services also issued Order No. 2020-060 to lift the suspension of time limits in penal matters as of September 1, 2020.
