COVID-19 / Postponement of hearings of the Court of Appeal in Montreal: weeks of March 16, 2020, March 23, 2020 and March 30, 2020

Given the declaration of a state of health emergency, the Court of Appeal has rescheduled all of the hearings that were to be held between March 17 and April 3, 2020, inclusively. For the Quebec appeal division, counsel have been informed of the new dates and will shortly receive a copy of the amended hearing roll. For the Montreal appeal division, cases will be postponed according to the following schedule:

1- Week of March 16, 2020

          Cases on the roll in the Pierre-Basile-Mignault courtroom, except those that were heard on March 16, 2020, have been postponed to the week of April 14, 2020, in the Louis-Hippolyte-Lafontaine courtroom. Cases on the roll in the Antonio-Lamer courtroom have been postponed to the week of April 6, 2020 in the Louis-Hippolyte-Lafontaine courtroom.

2- Week of March 23, 2020

          Cases on the roll in the Pierre-Basile-Mignault and Antonio-Lamer courtrooms for the week of March 23, 2020 have been postponed to the week of April 6, 2020, in the same respective courtrooms. These rolls may be adjusted. If so, you will be informed of any changes.

3- Week of March 30, 2020

          Cases on the roll in the Pierre-Basile-Mignault and Antonio-Lamer courtrooms for the week of March 30, 2020 have been postponed to the week of April 14, 2020, in the same respective courtrooms. These rolls may be adjusted. If so, you will be informed of any changes.
