The Court of Appeal is pleased to announce that as of February 1, 2022, it will be possible to e-file pleadings initiating an appeal in penal matters (notice of appeal and application for leave to appeal). This is a simple process in which the filer must provide certain information and then upload the PDF files of the pleadings and documents they wish to file. The clerk will examine the documents filed and will email the appellant or the appellant's counsel to inform them of the decision regarding the filing.

***Please note that DOCA will be unavailable on Monday, January 31, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., for maintenance work to upgrade DOCA so as to allow for the filing of pleadings initiating an appeal in penal matters. You will not be able to file or pay for a pleading during this period.
