Yesterday, the Honourable Arif Virani, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, announced the appointment of the Honourable Judith Harvie as a puisne judge of the Court of Appeal of Quebec at its seat in Montreal. Justice Harvie will occupy a puisne judgeship position that had been vacant since its creation.
