Rolls - Motions presentable before the judge alone

In Montreal, motions presented to the judge alone are heard in room RC-18 every weekday from 9:30 am during the weeks when the judge alone sits. Motions that fall within the jurisdiction of the clerk are heard at 9:00 a.m.

In Quebec City, motions presented to the judge alone are heard in room 4.30 every weekday from 9:30 am during the weeks when the judge alone sits. Motions that fall within the jurisdiction of the clerk are heard at 9:00 a.m.

The wearing of a gown is not obligatory for lawyers.

A limited number of motions are heard on each of the hearing days, hence the need to regularly check the schedule of days available to present a motion to ensure that there are still places available on the roll. To do this, consult the section “Calendar – Available hearing days – Motions”.
