Motions presentable in Montreal

• Motions presentable before the Court (a panel of 3 judges) are heard usually on Monday of each week when the Court sits (in civil matters as well as in criminal and penal matters) in the Mignault Room at 9:30 a.m. The wearing of a gown in conformity with the Rules of the Court of Appeal is obligatory for counsel.
• Motions presentable before a judge are heard daily in Room RC-18 at 9:30 a.m. The wearing of a gown in conformity with the Rules of the Court of Appeal is not obligatory for counsel.
• Motions presentable before the Clerk are heard daily in Room RC-18 at 9:00 a.m. The wearing of a gown in conformity with the Rules of the Court of Appeal is not obligatory for counsel.

Motions presentable in Quebec City

• Motions presentable before the Court (a bench of 3 judges) are heard usually on Monday, once a month, when the Court sits (in civil matters as well as in criminal and penal matters) in Room 4.33 at 9:30 a.m. The wearing of a gown in conformity with the Rules of the Court of Appeal is obligatory for counsel.
• Motions presentable before a judge are heard daily in Room 4.30 at 9:30 a.m. The wearing of a gown in conformity with the Rules of the Court of Appeal is not obligatory for counsel.
• Motions presentable before the Clerk are heard daily in Room 4.30 at 9:00 a.m. The wearing of a gown in conformity with the Rules of the Court of Appeal is not obligatory for counsel.

Motions presentable before a panel of three judges

The party filling the application must reserve a presentation date by phoning the Office of the Court (s. 66 par.5 R.C.A.Q.Civ.M.) [Montreal: 514-393-2022; Quebec : 418-649-3401]. A limited number of applications are heard on each hearing day, hence the need to reserve a place on the roll.
