Court of Appeal of Quebec

May 23, 2017

A first in Quebec: The Court of Appeal sits in Trois-Rivières

For the first time in its history, the Court of Appeal of Quebec sits today outside of Montreal and Quebec City. The goal of this event is to demystify the role and duty of the Court of Appeal and bring it closer to citizens in order to promote accessibility to justice in the regions. The Chief Justice, Honourable Nicole Duval Hesler as well as the Honourable Jacques J. Levesque and the Honourable Marie-Josée Hogue will hear two appeal cases at the Trois-Rivières Courthouse. The public and media representatives were invited to attend the hearings.
