Judicial appointments to the Court of Appeal of Quebec


The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, announced Friday, June 23, 2017, the appointment of two judges to the Court of Appeal of Quebec.

The Honourable Simon Ruel, a judge of the Superior Court of Quebec, is appointed a judge of the Quebec Court of Appeal in residence in Quebec City. He replaces the Honourable Jean-François Émond, who is appointed to the Superior Court of Quebec, District of Quebec.

The Honourable Jocelyn F. Rancourt, a judge of the Superior Court of Quebec, is appointed a judge of the Quebec Court of Appeal in residence in Quebec City. He replaces the Honourable Étienne Parent, who is appointed to the Superior Court of Quebec, District of Shawinigan.
